OUR STORY
Two decades ago, Brar’s started as a small sweets shop in Toronto’s little India. We, as a brand, stood and continue to stand for the best quality products crafted with care using only the highest quality of ingredients. As time passed, our products gained popularity and their demand grew in different cities of Canada. To Meet this growing demand, we set up kitchen dedicated to the production of sweets and samosas. From we have grown to several categories of products, from dairy, to sweets to samosas.
HISTORY
Brar’s was purchased from the original owner with a goal to provide the highest quality products in the industry. With this purpose, Dial Pabla (the new owner in 1991) purchased a small takeaway restaurant that only served sweets and savories at the time. One big change that immedi ately tookeffect under the guidance of the new owner was: no products (such as samosas), once prepared, were kept for sale the next day. Ironically, this was not a normal practice amongst industry competitors. Customers noticed the difference and the word spread. Brar's started to revolutionize the Indian food business in Toronto, Canada; no more stale day-old left-overs!
A little more than a decade later, this practice was applied to the operations of the restaurant too. This step really elevated the standard of food served in the restaurant and on the buffet. This was the cause of such tremendous improvement in the quality of food being served. Once
again, customers noticed and appreciated this, thus making Brar's a well-known household name in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. Mr. Pabla insisted that no leftover food should be served the next day, no matter the cost!
Today that same philosophy of keeping food fresh, authentic and prepared with care has led the company to create products that our customers lovingly accept into their own recipes (and homes). Our dedication towards making great products that preserve our traditions and culture remains our biggest objective. We strive to bring that feeling into every dish we serve and every package that leaves our factory. Whether it be a natural protein source (Malai Paneer), a better source of cooking fat (Ghee), or simply a beautiful environment (restaurant) - we are always striving to serve our customers and their families the highest quality of product.
